Holly Hughes Receives Key Endorsements from
Michigan Agricultural Groups

The Michigan Farm Bureau and Michigan Agri-Business Association have endorsed Holly Hughes, candidate for State Representative.

Holly Hughes, candidate for State Representative, today announced the endorsement of the Michigan Farm Bureau and Michigan Agri-Business Association.

“Receiving the support and trust of our local farmers is important to me.  I will be an active voice for them in Lansing.   The cost of doing business is skyrocketing, and we must work with farmers so that they can afford to grow crops that we need.  I thank the Michigan Farm Bureau and Michigan Agri-Business Association for their support and look forward to working with our local farmers,” said Holly Hughes.

Hughes received these endorsement based upon strong support from local farmers and their recommendations.  She also shares a fundamental agreement that a healthy farming and agribusiness industry is critical to improving Michigan’s economy.   Agriculture currently ranks as the second largest industry in the state.

“We need to get our [farmers] stories to Lansing because what happens on the farm spills over into Lansing.  Agriculture influences one in four occupations in Michigan not just the men in the rubber boots.  Therefore, we take our candidate evaluations very seriously and are diligent about selecting who we want to represent us in Lansing,” said Dave Van Dyke the chairman of the Ottawa County Farm Bureau.

“We are confident that Holly Hughes will work hard to bring quality jobs to Michigan, and help expand the agricultural industry in Michigan,” said Agri-Business Association President, Jim Byrum.

The Michigan Farm Bureau is the state’s largest general farm organization.  The Michigan Agri-business Association is a statewide organization committed to furthering the development and prosperity of businesses engaged in agriculture.
